“True love is about growing as a couple, learning about each other and not giving up on each other”
When my mother in law (Ann) texted me and asked if I could make it to SL Temple ground later in the morning and take a “few” shots of her and Kim (my father in law) for their 50th anniversary, you can bet that I jumped at the chance! These two have been so incredibly supportive of me! When I started dating their son, I believe I won them over with the little acting abilities I still possessed from my days in NYC theater, because they seemed to believe I was a pretty darn good option for their son Shaun. I hope they still believe this! :p
These two have been through a lot over the years. Things I have only heard of, but like all great married couples, it is the hard, trying times that creates the ‘glue’ that sticks and holds them together. These two are polar opposites (and so am I and Shaun – my Hubby) but they have found a way to raise 5 children and numerous grandchildren. They live each day with one purpose in mind, how can they help their family and what can they do to stay connected and keep their family connected. It might sound boring or pointless to some, but these two have it down to an art.
I can’t say enough about how grateful I am to have taken their anniversary photos! Plus, it was fun when they realized I wasn’t going to just take 3 shots of them, we were gonna do a reeeaallll photo shoot!
