Do you want to know a little secret about these two? They have two different “How We Met” stories they like to tell. One is the truth. The other….well, it’s a bit of a stretch.
One version is that they met online, like a lot of people do these days. Patrick had messaged Geena a full two paragraphs to start a real conversation rather than the usual quick responses of “Whats up” or “Hey”. She thought that set him apart from other guys online. After chatting online for a full month – and before they had even met in person! – Patrick spilled his true feelings for Geena and confessed that he thought he loved her already!! Geena wasn’t sure what to think of that, and spent the rest of the day feeling a bit freaked out, but she gave him another chance after he apologized for his over-eagerness 🙂
The other story the like to tell – the one that parents and grandparents can approve of – is that they originally met back when they were in school, and then reconnected after a few years. It’s definitely romantic to say they met by catching the twinkle in each other’s eyes from across the room at school.

We met up at Jensen Nature Center one spring day for their engagement photos. We started off with a fun, more casual look to capture their friendship, and then did a quick outfit change to something a little fancier to capture their romantic side. Patrick and Geena claim they are both really shy at first and take a little bit to warm up to people, but it doesn’t stop these two from making the most gorgeous photos!
