After photographing Charlie and Tyler (and sweet Rugger!) for their engagement session at Memory Grove Park, and then again photographing just Charlene for her bridals at Chantilly Mansion and the Salt Lake Capitol Building, I couldn’t wait to see these two once again for their wedding day. Their ceremony also took place at the elegant Chantilly Mansion in Layton, Utah.
Getting ready with Charlene and all her closest friends and family, I just knew what a special and monumental moment this was. Tyler and Charlene had been dating since high school – so over 7 years! From meeting in high school (and a not-so-romantic first date watching a weird movie), to a proposal in Alaska, their day has been a long time coming, and the joy was felt by everyone! One of my favorite moments of the day was Tyler’s celebratory punch in the air after they were officially pronounced husband and wife. After vows were shared and family portraits were taken, these two had a little alone time out on the Mansion’s grounds. And while Rugger may not have been in attendance in person, his presence still made an appearance…see if you can find a little momento of him in the photos!
So what’s next for these two high school sweethearts? When asked what they thought about having kids one day in the future, Tyler says maybe two or three. But Charlene says she will decide after the first one, which is probably the right answer đŸ™‚ But either way, they can both agree there will be lots of dogs in their future. These two love to travel. Tyler wants to go to Alaska, Iceland, Greenland, Nova Scotia, and Charlene wants to go somewhere warm like the Bahamas or Hawaii, maybe Europe. Returning to Alaska, where they got engaged, will most likely be the first post-wedding destination.
